Lyndon Andre (Andy) McMillan was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. He lived there until at twelve his parents moved to Bulawayo Zimbabwe. He represented his new country at football at Junior level and went for trials with Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City, but returned to his adopted country after six weeks to study.However, when his parent returned to England and settled in the Humber area, he signed non-contract forms with Hull City. When no deal was forthcoming he played local football and had offers from Preston North End and York City. He chose the latter in October 1987 and started an eleven year association with the club which saw him become one of the club's record appearance makers. At 5'11" and 11st 9lb he has a strong physique for a Right Back and used it to good effect and was chosen as the best Division Three Right Back at the end of the 1992-93 season, when York gained promotion to the Second Division. A popular player he seemed destined to reach thev 500 appearance milestone but a disagreement with the owner of the club saw MacMillan leave the club and join Ayr United in the Scottish League in October 1999. He had scored five goals in four hundred and twelve starts and twelve games from the bench in the League and Eighteen starts in the F.A. Cup and twenty-seven starts in the League Cup and twenty-four in other competitions a total of four hundred and ninety-three appearances.He started sixteen League games for Ayr United and had another three from the bench as well as four starts in the Scottish Cup. He retired from professional football at the end of the 1999-2000 season and returned to the York area where he played Non-League football with West Yorkshire club Nestle Rowntree in April 2001, but moved to Pickering Town at the start of the following season. He joined Haxby United at the start of the 2004-05 season and played with them until he retired at the end of the 2006-07 season. From July 2005 he helped coach the York City Juniors until he joined Hull City in a similar capacity in 2007. He became Manager of Haxby United in June 2008 but left in November 2008 and rejoined Hull City in June 2009. He moved to Lincoln City as Assistant Head of their Youth Academy in July 2010. He joined Barnet in a similar role in July 2012.

The match attracted 2,875 and to their joy it was York that took the lead after fifteen minutes, when Bullock netted. Paul Robinson came to his side's rescue when he was quickly off his line to thwart a threat from Martin Garatt, who had had trials with Leeds the previous season, in the thirtieth minute. It was not all one way traffic and Eirik Bakke was denied an equalizer soon after. Paul Shepherd replaced Eirik Bakke at Left Half, while Mark Jackson took over from Danny Hay at Centre Half, Keith Dixon replaced Matthew Jones at Right Half and Tommy Knarvik replaced Bruno Ribeiro at Inside Left. Wes Boyle scored the equalizer when he scored with a low drive from a Stephen McPhail corner seven minutes into the second half.Paul Shepherd went close to a late winner when his shot from outside the area went close.
